Method of Payment
Residential and Non-Residential Customers may pay their utility bill with one of the following:
- Personal check
- Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover only)
- Debit Card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover only)
Credit, Debit and E-Check transactions shall be limited to $2,000 each.
RMU offers a variety of convenient ways to pay your bill. Choose the method that best fits your lifestyle.
Bring payment to the RMU Business Office located at 102 West 9th Street, Rolla Missouri. Business hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Drop payment in the drive-up box located on Elm Street, between 9th and 10th Streets, or the drop box located on the front of the RMU Business Office at 102 West 9th Street, Rolla, Missouri. Drop box payments after 3 p. m. will process on the next business day.

Please call 855-203-1283 to make an automated phone payment 24 hours per day. Your RMU customer account number is required. In addition, Customer Service Representatives can take your payment using a credit or debit card over the phone. Just call 573-364-1572 and we will be happy to assist you.
Pay at many of the Rolla banks. Take your current utility bill to the bank, they will collect the money and stamp the bill PAID. If you pay by check, please make your check payable to RMU. Rolla banks will not accept payment on past due bills.

Automatic Bill Pay
Pay direct from your checking account. This is a service which allows customers to have their utility bills deducted directly from their bank checking account. Automatic Bill Pay Saves time, postage costs and check writing. To authorize this service, please come to the RMU Business Office with a voided check and complete an authorization form.
You can pay your utility bill any time of day through an online third party automated payment service that accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Credit/Debit cards and E-checks. Individual transactions up to $2,000 are available. If the account balance is in excess of $2,000, additional transactions can be submitted for the remaining balance.

Most banks offer free online bill payment to anyone who signs up for online banking. Your bank sends out payment drawn on your account with the amount and date set by you. This is similar to Automatic Bill Pay but with you in complete control of when the payment is made.
