Method of Payment

Residential and Non-Residential Customers may pay their utility bill with one of the following:

• cash
• personal check
• Visa, MasterCard or Discover
• Debit Card

Credit and Debit card transactions by a residental or non-residential Customer shall be limited to a maximum amount per month as determined by RMU. A transcation fee will apply.  

Payment Locations

RMU offers a variety of convenient ways to pay your bill. Choose the method that best fits your lifestyle.

In Person

Bring payment to the RMU Business Office located at 102 West 9th Street, Rolla Missouri. Business hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Drop Box

Drop payment in the drive-up box located on Elm Street, between 9th and 10th Streets, or the drop box located on the front of the RMU Business Office at 102 West 9th Street, Rolla, Missouri. Drop box payments after 3 p. m. will process on the next business day.

By Mail

Send payment by mail to P.O. Box 767, Rolla, Missouri, 65402

By Phone

Our Customer Service Representatives can take your payment using a credit or debit card over the phone. Just call 364-1572 and we will be happy to assist you.

Local Bank

Pay at many of the Rolla banks. Take your current utility bill to the bank, they will collect the money and stamp the bill PAID. If you pay by check, please make your check payable to RMU. Rolla banks will not accept payment on past due bills.

• Phelps County Bank
• Town & Country Bank
• Regions Bank

Automatic Bill Pay 

Pay direct from your checking account. This is a service which allows customers to have their utility bills deducted directly from their bank checking account. Automatic Bill Pay Saves time, postage costs and check writing. To authorize this service, please come to the RMU Business Office with a voided check and complete an authorization form.

On-Line

Most banks offer free online bill payment to anyone who signs up for online banking. Most banks allow you to pay any vender online. Your bank sends out a paper check drawn on your account with the amount and date set by you. This is similar to Automatic Bill Pay but with you in complete control of when the payment is made.
