Water Service
Water is something that we take for granted every day. But the fact is, clean water is an essential part of daily life in our community. That’s why Rolla Municipal Utilities takes water production, storage and distribution very seriously. RMU strives to have available upon demand, to all our customers, good quality water and to provide that water in the most efficient manner possible. At RMU, water has been our business for over 60 years. Our deep wells and distribution system provide over 4 million gallons of clean water a day, which is delivered to households and businesses throughout our community. | | |  |
Water Supply Rolla Municipal Utilities derives its water supply from a deep well system. RMU operates and maintains: - 137 miles of water distribution mains
- 1,150 fire hydrants
- 18 deep wells
- 2 Pumping Stations
- Water storage capacity of 6,950,000 gallons

The water supply is treated with chlorine and fluoride before it enters the RMU distribution system.
